Through education, on the job training, inspections of worksites, as well as exceeding basic safety standards on a daily basis, 1st Rate will always strive for a “Zero Loss” environment on all worksites. It is our goal to minimize all risks inherent in our industry by maintaining and improving our Health and Safety Management System on a continuous basis.
Risk Reduction Methodology
- Safety Audits are performed with 48 hours of a Job starting and when a location changes
- Audits are reviewed and signed off on by CEO
- Operations management is on site for all new Supervisors when opening a well head
- Employees are coached positive “Approaching other Skills” which increases
- Hazard identification
- Awareness through near miss reporting
- Clearly defined documentation for job training
- Identifies training requirements to move to next level of employment
- Canadian Management has completed ACSA leadership for Safety Excellence training
- US Management has completed Filed leadership in Oil and Gas Extraction and Production
HSE Training Program
We have an extensive safety training program including but not limited to the following:
- IRP 4
- First Aid
- Backing and Spotting
- Confined Space
- H2S Alive
- Alcohol & Drug Training & Testing
- Fall Arrest
- Gas Detection
All training is tracked and reporting through our proprietary system. Certifications and documents can be pulled up at any location.
1st Rate Energy retains a minimum standard of training for all employees to perform day operations. When it is past due or incomplete we hold employees back until complete.
